Mai 18th, 2020 – As of 11 May, classroom teaching can resume in primary and lower secondary schools; and shops, markets, museums, libraries, restaurants and sports facilities can reopen as long as precautionary measures are applied.
This means that we start to move back to normality step by step. It is very important that we take this path with highest respect and full responsibility to avoid any kind of relapse as the risk is not yet over. We plan to go back to face to face classes as soon as possible but are waiting to see if there will be special conditions for an 8th of June start, before we announce this.
We are lucky and grateful to announce that we have no case of Corona-infection on the B.H.M.S. Campus! Therefore, we appeal to all our students again to continue to adhere strictly to the guidelines in daily living also during the coming days. This is an essential act to protect yourself, your friends and staff of B.H.M.S.
All administrative services (front desk, counselling, ec.) will remain open as before and all students have contact persons available 7 days a week and 24 hours.
Since 16th March 2020 face to face classes are not allowed, but we want to make sure that students can follow their original study plan whenever possible. No Delays: Online options available for programs starting in August.
We have focused all meals in our City Campus Restaurant and offer much more space to the students to eat. Furthermore, we also offer take-away to all students and we will expand the eating hours if needed, to offer all students regular and enough food.
As we have to limit the social contacts, we still want to ensure that students have a regular daily structure and will be ready to work seriously in their online classes from Wednesday.
Although boarders are mainly open since May 15th, we strongly recommend avoiding any unnecessary travelling within Switzerland and abroad. For further info please take a look at the official website of the FOPH.
Be assured that we will do everything possible to ensure the health and security of our students. Furthermore, we confirm that our health insurance covers all medical costs according to Swiss legal regulations also in case of a virus infection.
